US Futsal Registration Info & FAQ's

PRINCETON FUTSAL LEAGUE

US Futsal Registration Info & FAQ’s

 When is our first game?

The Princeton Futsal League starts on Sunday December 2, 2007.

On what dates are games played?

The Princeton Futsal League is held on ten Sundays from early December through early March.  Games will be played on the following dates:  12/2, 12/9. 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/24 & 3/2.

What type of shoes/sneakers do players wear?

Princeton Futsal League games are played on wood basketball gym floors.  Any non-marking sneakers are fine.  A lot of players do wear indoor soccer shoes.  Adidas Samba is a popular choice.http://www.shopadidas.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2292645&cp=2019629.2039850.2102340.2019638&

Why is only the first week’s schedule published?

To ensure the best possible experience for all teams/players, we want to take into account the results from the first week’s games before putting together the schedule for the following weeks.

Why do we need to register with US Futsal?  Why can’t we use our US Youth Soccer (NJYS or EPYSA) or US Club Soccer passes?

Along with USYS and US Club Soccer, US Futsal is an affiliate of US Soccer Federation (USSF).  These organizations have mutally agreed that US Futsal will be the "carding" body for all Futsal activities.  Coaches, teams and individual players need to register using US Futsal’s online registration system.

How does the new US Futsal online registration system work and what do I need to do?

Before you can start the registration process, you will need to create a US Futsal Sign In.  As a Coach, you will only need to create one Sign In for all your US Futsal registrations (e.g. – you will use the same Sign In to register yourself as a Coach and to register your child as a player).

After creating your Sign In, Coaches should then register themselves.  After you’ve registered as a Coach, you should then register your team and players.  An email will then be sent automatically to each parent who will then need to complete the registration for their child/player.

You can access the US Futsal registration website by using the link below or via the link on the PSA Futsal League website:

The actual physical US Futsal "cards" are not required for the Princeton Futsal League.  You don’t need to worry about uploading photos, etc.  The actual US Futsal cards may be required if your team chooses to participate in your respective State Futsal Championships and we’re clarifying that and will publish an update to these FAQ’s.

Please note:  Coaches will be asked to pay a $12 registration fee and parents/players will be asked to pay registration fees totaling $7.25.  You should not pay these fees to US Futsal.  To complete your US Futsal registration, you should select the “Check by Mail” option.  As part of your Princeton Futsal fees, we will pay your player registration fees and one Coach registration fee.  If you and/or some of your players have already paid your US Futsal registration fees, please give us copies of all the documentation and we’ll make sure these amounts are reimbursed.

What documentation do I need to bring to the first game on December 2?

  1. US Futsal Coach Waiver forms for each coach (see link below for example)
  2. Futsal Player Waiver forms for each player (see link below for example)
  3. A copy of your US Futsal Team Roster (see link below for example)
